First Aid

This is an important course for anyone who is interested in being able to provide basic First Aid in their homes, in the workplace, or in anywhere they may happen to be confronted by situations requiring basic aid. The course is required for those persons involved in public rescue whether involved in Emergency Medical Service organizations, paid and volunteer Fire Fighters, Policemen, etc.

This course provides lecture, interactive video demonstrations, discussion, and hands-on training for each participant. The course is designed to help meet the needs of the many different styles of learning that participants may have.

During the course, the participants will learn how to:

	Recognize emergency situations,
	Check the scene and call for help,
	Avoid bloodborne pathogen exposure,
	Care for wounds, bone and soft-tissue injuries, head and spinal injuries, burns, and heat and cold emergencies,
	Manage sudden illnesses, stroke, seizure, bites, and poisoning, and
	Minimize shock.

Our instructor can come to your place of business, to church groups, and other groups where several people would be interested in participating in the course.
